So this is part of a larger project, but the sculpt is done and I am pretty happy with it as a standalone to be honest. With big projects like this the different stages always feel like chapters rather than a WIP.

This took about 3 days all up, which I have to say was actually kind of a challenge in an Australian summer.

Wow! This looks amazing. It's Chamberlain, right? The Dark Crystal is a fantastic work of cinematographic art and this sculpture is right on par with it. Great job!

It was based closely off Chamberlain, but not supposed to be a direct copy. I wanted to do a Skeksis that looked as real-life real as possible- hence the wrinkles and warts. The originals are amazing, but some of the detail isn't very detailed. We'll see how my moulds and casts go before I get too excited though.

Okay, that's cool. I think it's so amazing when someone can create an awesome work of art based off something else, rather than just making direct copies. I can't wait to see it all finished.
